I love the Italian Renaissance. Michelangelo, Leonardo DaVinci, and Raphael are pretty awesome.
This is Michelangelo’s The Last Judgement. I love it. It’s my favorite. My favorite what? I’m not sure. This fresco is in the Sistine Chapel, commissioned by Pope Clement VII.

According to ArtStor, Cardinal Allesandro Farnese commissioned Marcello Venusti to paint a replica with tempera on wood because he was worried it would be destroyed by the Council of Trent. Instead of total inhalation, the nude figures were covered.
